Beginning March 21, Oyun Botanical Gardens will host a biweekly, hands-on urban gardening workshop led by the garden’s Land Steward, Alexis Abdullah. This immersive experience is designed for both new and experienced gardeners who want to build strong foundations, deepen their understanding of natural growing systems, and cultivate healthy, productive gardens in alignment with nature.
This 2.5-hour workshop is intentionally limited to 15 participants to ensure a highly interactive and personalized learning environment. Each session focuses on essential principles that support long-term garden success rather than short-term fixes.
What You’ll Learn
How to build and sustain living soil
The fundamentals of companion planting and lunar planting
Practical approaches to plant care and natural pest management
How to grow in relationship with the Earth, fostering resilience and balance in your garden
Instruction is paired with hands-on learning in the garden, giving you practical tools you can apply immediately at home.
How to Prepare
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor, hands-on work
