The S.E.E.D. Volunteer Program

The S.E.E.D. Program (Stewardship, Education & Ecosystem Development) at Oyun Botanical Gardens is a structured, hands-on volunteer program focused on learning and land care. Volunteers help support soil health, compost systems, harvesting, and preparing food for market while gaining practical farming skills. Participants choose from three tracks—Soil Keepers, Harvest Keepers, or Land Keepers—based on their interests and availability. Each track runs in six-week cycles with required training for focused roles. The program is designed to build real skills, strengthen community, and support the long-term health of the land.

Horticulture Therapy Programming

Tea Thyme- A SeedPlanter Group Wellness Experience

Tea Thyme is the SeedPlanter Group’s curated wellness experience, hosted every 1st Saturday, that centers herbal tea rituals as a pathway to health and well-being. Each session blends herbal education with intentional practice, creating space to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with purpose. Through mindfulness, symbolism, and the healing properties of herbs, Tea Thyme offers a gentle invitation to restore balance from the inside out.

Nature-Based Wellness Class

This monthly class, hosted on every 3rd Saturday of the month, is a nature-based experiences that deepen knowledge of plants while nurturing human wellness. Through guided, hands-on activities in the garden and greenhouse, participants explore how soil, seeds, herbs, and seasonal rhythms support physical health, emotional balance, and spiritual renewal. Each session blends practical plant education with therapeutic engagement, creating restorative spaces where learning and well-being grow together.
